tourist got a little more than he bargained for at a glass bridge in China, where high winds shattered the expanse and left him clinging to safety on the verge of a deadly drop last week.The incident happened Friday at Piyan Mountain near Longjing in northern China, according to state media and the local tourism department.

The tourist was the only person on the glass-bottomed suspension bridge, which was designed to give people the illusion of floating over a 100-metre fall.

Woman allegedly set occupied home on fire, watched it burn from lawn chair That illusion became reality when gale-force winds knocked several panels out of the bottom of the suspension bridge, leaving the man with no way to get back to solid land.

New Delhi: State-run steel and oil and gas firms are setting up 10,500 beds for the treatment of covid-19 patients near their plants and refineries, according to a statement from petroleum and natural gas ministry on Sunday.While inaugurating a 500-bed covid care hospital near Baljattan village in Panipat; steel, petroleum and natural gas minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the steel sector is setting up jumbo covid facilities in 15 places using gaseous oxygen, and around 8,500 oxygenated beds will be made available for the treatment of covid patients.Also, 2,000 beds are being set up at state-run oil firms’ refineries at Bina in Madhya Pradesh, Kochi in Kerala, Panipat in Haryana, Bathinda in Punjab and Chennai in Tamil Nadu.With the

New Delhi: Bharti Airtel on Sunday announced that it is offering a recharge pack of ₹49 for free to as many as 5.5 crore low-income customers to help them stay connected during the pandemic.The telecom major said that the benefits, which are worth ₹270 crore "will help the low-income customers to tide over the impact of Covid-19."Additionally, customers buying the ₹79 recharge coupon will now get double the benefits, the company said.The telecom operator said the scheme is worth ₹270 crore, covering credit of ₹49 mobile plan for 5.5 crore low income group customers."As a one-time gesture, Airtel will give the ₹49 pack free of cost to over 55 million low income customers.
