PHILADELPHIA - Pleasant spring conditions will stick around for the next two days before another round of rain washes over the area during the weekend.

Forecasters expect temperatures to dip into the 40s and 50s across the region overnight Tuesday. More sunshine on Wednesday will help temperatures stretch back into the uppers 60s and 70s across the region.

FOX 29's Kathy Orr says high temperatures in Philadelphia and its suburbs will exceed 70 degrees on Wednesday. Trenton and interior sections of New Jersey will sit in the upper 60s, while shore towns will dip into the 50s.

A similar weather day will follow on Thursday, with clouds becoming more dense throughout the day. A southern system of rain will spin up the coast on Friday and lead to scattered showers on Saturday.

4 Houston-area children, grandfather identified; likely killed by escaped Texas inmate

TOMBALL, Texas - The four Houston-area children who were found dead along with their grandfather at a home in Centerville, Texas, were students at Tomball ISD.The victims were identified as 66-year-old Mark Collins, 18-year-old Waylon, 16-year-old Carson, 11-year-old Hudson, and 11-year-old Bryson.Houston Crime Stoppers, along with family friends of the Collins family, hold a news conference after four children and a grandfather were killed likely by escaped Texas inmate.The district sent a letter to families on Friday morning sharing the news. Weather Authority: Overnight temperatures cool down in wake of strong storms

PHILADELPHIA - Cooler temperatures will follow in the wake of powerful thunderstorms that brought strong winds and heavy downpours to the region Monday. Forecasters warned of strong thunderstorms on Monday with wind gusts upwards of 70 MPH that some feared could spin up an isolated tornado. The National Weather Service issued a region-wide Severe Thunderstorm Watch that was upgraded to a warning in some areas of Pennsylvania. The brunt of the storms rolled across the Lehigh Valley in the early evening and continued into New York and parts of New England. The severe weather threat across the Delaware Valley expired at 9 p.m.As the storms continue northeast and offshore, FOX 29's Kathy Orr says colder air with drop temperatures into the upper 50s overnight.
