She then continues smoking, puts her gun in her purse, and casually walks away. SEPTA officers were in the area when they reportedly heard a gunshot and found the man on the 1800 block of East Wishart Street. He suffered one gunshot wound to the abdomen.

PHILADELPHIA - James Holton's world was rocked when he got the news that his niece Jailene Holton was fatally shot at a bar in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday night. What began as a rare outing for the 21-year-old woman, who hardly ever drank or went out according to family, ended in tragedy at the Philly Bar & Restaurant. Authorities say 8th District officers responded to numerous reports of a shooting and found Holton suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. She was transferred to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital to undergo surgery, but she later died, police say. Holton's family says she was serving as the designated driver for a night out with a friend that began at Top Golf and ended at the bar. FOX 29 learned that a group of three men walked into the bar and one of them wanted to play billiards but was turned down because a billiards league was using the pool table. Authorities say the man began to cause a disturbance and he was escorted out of the bar with the two other men he arrived with. As the disturbance escalated, patrons in the bar were advised to stand at the back of the bar for their safety, sources told FOX 29's Steve Keeley. Jailene Holton, 21, is remembered by her family as a quiet woman who worked and didn't go out often.

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. - A Colorado man was hospitalized after being gored by a bull bison at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, officials said. The 34-year-old man from Colorado Springs on Monday was walking with his family on a boardwalk near the Giant Geyser at Old Faithful, a popular tourist attraction located in the park, when the bull bison charged the group, according to a news release from park officials. When family members did not leave the area, the animal "continued to charge and gored the male." The man’s arm was injured, and he was taken by ambulance to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, officials said. The incident remains under investigation. Yellowstone National Park had recently reopened to visitors after destructive floods hit the area.

PHILADELPHIA - Officers with the Philadelphia Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a woman dead on Tuesday night. According to authorities, officers with the 8th District responded to numerous 911 calls reporting gunshots and a shooting at a bar on the 2400 block of Welsh Road around 11:30 p.m.Chief Inspector Scott Smalls police arrived on scene and found two victims. A 21-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the head was transferred to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital to undergo surgery, but she later died, according to police. Police say a second victim, who was cut in the face by glass, was taken to the same hospital for treatment. Small says investigators know at least 15 shots were fired by a semi-automatic weapon. Police say they found five bullet holes in the bar's front window and they believe one of the bullets struck the 21-year-old. According to Small, investigators do not believe she was the intended target. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAuthorities say the investigation revealed a group of three men walked into the bar but were escorted out when one of them caused a disturbance at the bar. Small says the man who was giving the staff a problem then walked to a dark or Black pickup truck and 15 shots were fired in the direction of the bar. Authorities say there were multiple cameras in the area and they are confident that they will be able to identify him. The two men with the alleged shooter are not believed to be involved in the shooting, Small says.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man is facing several charges after officials say his plans to carjack food delivery drivers turned deadly for one elderly victim.John Nusslein, 18, is accused of placing food delivery orders as a ruse to lure drivers in at least two separate occasions last year. PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating after an off-duty corrections officer was carjacked at gunpoint and shot at the alleged carjacker in Feltonville on Monday night. According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, officers with the 25th District received a 911 call for a robbery and gunshots on the 200 block of E Roosevelt Boulevard around 11 p.m. When officers arrived on location, they were met by an off-duty corrections officer, 59, who said he was leaving a friend's house and getting into his Toyota Avalon when he was approached by a man with a gun who pulled him out of the car, police say. According to authorities, the alleged carjacker got into the driver's seat of the car and began to drive away as the off-duty corrections officer fired five shots at the suspect and the car. The suspect sped off in the car and officers located it about 25 minutes later on the 4900 block of Bingham Street, officials say. Small says the vehicle was found with five bullet holes in it and fresh blood inside the car. Authorities say officers were also notified that a 21-year-old shooting victim with a gunshot wound in each arm showed up for treatment at Temple Hospital. Small says there is a possibility that the shooting victim may be the alleged carjacker and authorities are investigating. According to police, the off-duty officer said the suspect was wearing a surgical mask and a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. 

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating after an off-duty corrections officer was carjacked at gunpoint and shot at the alleged carjacker in North Philadelphia on Monday night. According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, officers with the 25th District received a 911 call for a robbery and gunshots on the 200 block of E Roosevelt Boulevard around 11 p.m. When officers arrived on location, they were met by an off-duty corrections officer, 59, who said he was leaving a friend's house and getting into his Toyota Avalon when he was approached by a man with a gun who pulled him out of the car, police say. According to authorities, the alleged carjacker got into the driver's seat of the car and began to drive away as the off-duty corrections officer fired five shots at the suspect and the car. The suspect sped off in the car and officers located it about 25 minutes later on the 4900 block of Bingham Street, officials say. Small says the vehicle was found with five bullet holes in it and fresh blood inside the car. Authorities say officers were also notified that a 21-year-old shooting victim with a gunshot wound in each arm showed up for treatment at Temple Hospital. Small says there is a possibility that the shooting victim may be the alleged carjacker and authorities are investigating. According to police, the off-duty officer said the suspect was wearing a surgical mask and a hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head.
