University of Glasgow Covid outbreak in halls of residence

Glasgow 's halls of residence have tested positive for coronavirus. Uni chiefs took to Twitter to reveal individuals who have been confirmed as having the deadly bug and their close contacts are now self-isolating to stop any further spread.

And in an email sent to students, which has been seen by The Record, bosses revealed they believe the cases were largely due to "social interactions" the weekend before last.The uni are making sure those affected have access to enough food and supplies, as well as health and mental health services during their quarantine.
