PHILADELPHIA - A man has died after police say he was stabbed multiple times in North Philadelphia.Police responded to the 2600 block of North 4th Street shortly after 3 a.m. Thursday morning. Officers arrived on scene to find a 43-year-old man had been stabbed three times in the neck, and once under his right arm. Paramedics rushed the victim to Temple University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later. No weapon was recovered at the scene, and no arrests have been made.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police have launched an investigation after a student found a gun in her backpack at a North Philadelphia school Monday morning. "As school began this morning, a student communicated to her teacher that a firearm was present in her backpack. This young student was keenly aware that this weapon was dangerous and should not be in school with her," said the statement from Bryan Carter, Gesu School President. Carter said the student's backpack and gun were confiscated immediately, and the police were notified.

CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. - A Camden County man with a previous criminal history has been arrested and charged for possessing child sexual abuse photos and videos.Officials say 38-year-old Matthew Knapp, of Lindenwold, New Jersey, was found with child sex abuse material on his computer, three hard drives and a flash drive. Some of the suspected images included prepubescent children.Evidence was recovered after photos and images were traced back to Knapp's home during an investigation last year, according to the U.S.

PHILADELPHIA - A shooting in West Philadelphia has left a victim and suspect injured early Saturday morning.Police say a 34-year-old man was shot in the torso just blocks from Saint Joseph's University City Campus on the 1300 block of South Melville Street just before 8 a.m. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition.At one point during the incident, police say the victim hit the suspect over head with a bat.

WASHINGTON - An American Airlines flight bound for Washington, D.C., had to divert to Raleigh, North Carolina, due to a "disruptive passenger" on board, officials said Wednesday. Agents from the FBI's Charlotte field office responded to Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and removed the unruly traveler from the flight. The passenger, identified as Tiffany Miles, was initially charged with a misdemeanor related to the incident. PHILADELPHIA - Check your blind spot! An abandoned shipping container left near the exit of a North Philadelphia parking lot is making it impossible for drivers to safely pull out into traffic.Locals say the tan shipping container has straddled the curb outside the parking lot on 7th street between Callowhill and Spring Garden streets for at least six months.The danger isn't only to those pulling out into traffic, but those who are already on the road.

ORLANDO, Fla. - A Central Florida television reporter who was killed while reporting at a murder scene in Orlando has been identified. On Thursday, Spectrum News 13 announced that its reporter Dylan Lyons, a Philadelphia native, was shot on Wednesday afternoon at the scene of a shooting in Pine Hills, Florida. Lyons died from his injuries and a second crew member, identified as photojournalist Jesse Walden, was also shot and critically injured. Jesse Walden Orange County deputies said the 19-year-old suspect, Keith Melvin Moses, also shot a mother and her 9-year-old daughter.
