BUENA VISTA, N.J. - State authorities say a New Jersey police officer will not face any charges in the shooting death of a driver who stole a police car after a crash last year and was shot and killed after a chase. The New Jersey attorney general’s office said last week a state grand jury had declined to bring charges in the 2021 death of 42-year-old Roy K.

PHILADELPHIA - A man was killed in front of his own home Friday night after police say two suspects opened fire.Police say the 42-year-old man was sitting on the porch of his home on the 900 block of Marcella Street when two men with guns started approaching just before midnight.Both men reportedly started shooting from the sidewalk, and continued as they climbed the stairs to the porch. Police say they shot at the victim as he laid on the ground, then fled the scene."This was clearly an ambush situation," Philadelphia Police Inspector DF Pace told reporters.MORE HEADLINES;The victim was pronounced dead on the scene, after being found shot multiple times through his body.At least 11 shell casings were found near the gunshot-riddled porch.

COLOMBO (News 1st) – A 29-year old woman was killed during a shootout in Danovita early Sunday (2) morning .Police said that a woman who was traveling in a bus was shot when a group who had come to rob a liquor store were about to be arrested.Later, she died upon admission to the Wathupitiwala hospital.Two others were injured in the incident.

WISSAHICKON - An apparent road rage situation led to the shooting of a 37-year-old man in Philadelphia's Wissahickon section.According to officials, 5th District officers were called to an alleyway near the 3900 block of Manayunk Avenue, just off the 300 block of Hermit Street Saturday night, around 9:30, on a report of gunshots.When police arrived, they found a 37-year-old man suffering with at least three gunshot wounds and the alleged shooter was also on location.Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace explained an apparent road rage incident took place on Ridge Avenue between the driver of a white Jeep SUV and the driver of a large, dark-colored Chevrolet van.Somewhere on Ridge Avenue, the driver of the Chevy got out, approached the Jeep and pounded on the hood of the vehicle.Inside the Jeep was a male driver, his wife and 7-year-old child.The driver of the Chevy got back into his vehicle and drove off, according to Inspector Pace, but the driver of the Jeep pursued the Chevy, down Ridge, onto Hermit Street and into the alleyway, with the Chevy crashing into two vehicles parked on the Manayunk Ave.

SAN DIEGO - A rare wild horse that was cloned is learning his "wild horse language" after being paired with another female of the same species and recently made his debut to visitors at the San Diego Zoo.The rare, endangered Przewalski’s horse, named Kurt, was created from cells taken from a stallion that had sat frozen at the San Diego Zoo for 40 years before the cells were fused with an egg from a domestic horse. As part of the cloning process, scientists then removed the nucleus from the egg cell — ensuring Kurt would be basically all Przewalski’s horse. OAKLAND, Calif. - Six people were injured in a shooting on an Oakland school campus. Oakland police said the shooting happened on the King Estate campus, which is comprised a cluster of schools — Rudsdale Continuation School, Newcomer high schools, BayTech Charter School, and the headquarters of Sojourner Truth Independent Study.Authorities said two of the victims were found inside Rudsdale Continuation School.According to a spokesman for Highland Hospital, three of the shooting victims were brought to the trauma center. The other three victims were taken to other local hospitals.Authorities said two of the victims sustained life-threatening injuries, a third had non-life-threatening injuries.

CRESCENTVILLE - A 17-year-old girl was killed after she was struck by a vehicle while trying to run from a disturbance, in Philadelphia's Crescentville section.Officials said the victim was at the 4600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard, on the grounds of Excel Academy South, Wednesday afternoon, just before 2 p.m., when the accident took place.The girl was reportedly trying to run away from an assault when she was struck by the driver of a gray Chrysler.Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Small stated police received numerous 911 calls for a large fight and accident at the scene.Fire crews and medics responded to the calls and found the 17-year-old victim laying in the parking lot, unresponsive.Medics rushed her to Einstein Medical Center, but she succumbed to her injuries and died a short time later.The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old female, did remain at the scene and is talking with police.Inspector Small said police believe the 17-year-old and 18-year-old did attend the school.Detectives are investigating the accident.

PHILADELPHIA - A high school community in Philadelphia is left heartbroken after a 14-year-old student was killed in an ambush shooting that injured four teens following a football scrimmage. Nicholas Elizalde was remembered as a "special kid" by his aunt and uncle who returned to Roxborough High School to pick up a car they left their amid the chaos on Tuesday afternoon.Elizalde and another Saul student were among a group of teens who were leaving a joint football scrimmage when five shooters emerged from a car and unleashed more than 60 shots. Saul High School does not have a football team, but their students are allowed to play for Roxborough High School. Pierre Poilievre says he is denouncing “abuse” and sexually threatening language against his wife allegedly made by Jeremy Mackenzie, the de-facto leader of a far-right group called Diagolon whose adherents have waged a social media abuse campaign against female journalists for months.In a statement posted on Twitter Monday morning, Poilievre said he had been made aware of “disgusting comments made by Jeremy McKenzie and another man, where they discuss sexually assaulting my wife.”He called the men “odious” and “losers,” and added he has reported the comments to police.In the video, a social media account of “Jeremy Mackenzie” can be seen lighting up as the speaker before a man can be heard talking about Anaida Poilievre as he and co-hosts debate her ethnic background, before he goes on to say: “let’s rape her.”“It’s not really a sex thing, we just want to show people we can do things to you if we want to,” he adds.Global News attempted to contact Mackenzie on Monday about the threats allegedly made against Anaida Poilievre.

PHILADELPHIA - Video taken by a witness captures the moments a fight escalated to a deadly shooting on South Street in Philadelphia over the weekend. Officers from the Philadelphia Police Department were called to the 400 block of South Street just after midnight Saturday for reports of a shooting. Police found a 35-year-old man shot to wounds to the head and chest, and rushed him to Jefferson University hospital where he died. Quadare Lane, 28, was later arrested by police near the intersection of 5th and Lombard streets with what police believe was the murder weapon in his possession. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe deadly shooting comes months after a mass shooting on South Street in June where three people died and nearly a dozen were injured. Philadelphia Councilmember Mark Squilla said the city is working to put more protections in place to help foster more businesses along one of Philadelphia's most popular thoroughfares. "We are working very diligently with the police department, they do have personal out there.  Sometimes we hear from some of the businesses that’s a deterrent for people to go there.

WASHINGTON - Arthur "Buddy" Harrison, Jr., a man who was well known in the DMV for his community service and boxing gym, was shot and killed outside of his home in Southeast, D.C. on Saturday morning, according to police. The Metropolitan Police Department confirms that the victim is DMV boxing fixture and founder of Old School Boxing in Prince George's County, 62-year-old Arthur "Buddy" Harrison, Jr., of Southeast.According to MPD officials, the shooting was reported around11:39 a.m.

SHARON HILL, Pa. - The three Sharon Hill police officers charged in the death of Fanta Bility, 8, are due in court Monday. Officers Devon Smith, Sean Dolan and Brian Devaney are each charged with 12 criminal counts of manslaughter and reckless endangerment in relation to the August 2021 shooting. The officers were also fired from the force following the fatal shooting. Authorities say Bility and her family were leaving a football game at Academy Park High School when a shooting between two men erupted in a crowd of people. Bullets from the shooting were fired in the direction of the three officers who were monitoring the crowd. RELATED HEADLINESThe officers reportedly returned fire, shooting toward a car they believed was involved in the initial gunfire, fatally striking Bility, officials say. Investigators later determined that the bullets fired toward the officers originated from an argument between 16-year-old Angelo "A.J." Ford and Hasein Strand, 19. The officers are set to arrive at the Delaware County courthouse in Media, Pennsylvania, to learn the fate of the charges against them. The mother of 8-year-old Fanta Bility spoke to FOX 29's Jeff Cole on the eve of the one-year anniversary of the deadly police shooting that claimed the life of her daughter. The family was leaving a Delaware County high school football game when a shooting erupted between two men and prompted nearby officers to return fire.
