Teddy Sheringham has told Harry Kane to “make the most” of his career. The Tottenham striker hinted in March that he could be prepared to move on this summer if Spurs aren’t able to match his ambition.
Sheringham found himself in a similar situation during his time at Tottenham, with the former England striker making the move to United in a £3.5million deal in 1997.
He went on to win major honours with the club, including the historic treble in 1999, with Sheringham scoring the equaliser against Bayern Munich in the Champions League final.
Asked by Sky Sports about Kane’s predicament, Sheringham said: "There are similarities [between him and Kane], but you have to look at Tottenham where they are and where they were when I was playing for
