PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office has announced charges in connection with a shooting and car chase that ended in a crash on I-76 in South Philadelphia. Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday morning, police responded to a report of a shooting at FDR Park and a crash on I-76 near Passyunk Avenue. Officers responded to the scene on the highway and found a Ford SUV and Infiniti Sedan had been involved in a crash. Two people were found inside of the Ford SUV, including a 27-year-old man who was in the backseat suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck.

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating an incident that began at FDR Park and ended with lane closures on I-76 West. Authorities say police responded to a report of a shooting on Pattison Avenue in the area of FDR Park in the South Philadelphia section of the city just before 3 a.m. Officers who responded to the scene did not find anything initially, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small. Small told reporters officers found a scene on the westbound lanes of I-76, where a Ford SUV and Infiniti Sedan were involved in a crash. According to authorities, the Ford had eight bullet holes and a 27-year-old victim in the back seat with a gunshot wound to the neck. Small says the shooting victim, who was unable to move due to the gunshot injury, was transported to Presbyterian Hospital, where he is in critical condition. Police say a 32-year-old woman was the driver of the Ford SUV. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESA 22-year-old man was driving the Infiniti and a gun was found on the vehicle's floorboard, authorities say. Investigators say a preliminary investigation revealed the drivers of both vehicles got into an altercation on the 1900 block of Pattison Avenue. According to Small, that's where crime scene technicians found 19 spent shell casings from the shooting. Officials say a PennDOT driver witnessed the incident and told authorities the two cars then drove at a high rate of speed the wrong way on I-76 West. The two vehicles eventually crashed on I-76 as police responded to the scene, police say. The 22-year-old driver of the Infiniti was taken into custody, according to Small. Lanes on I-76 West were closed for several hours but have since reopened. Police respond to lanes on I-76

PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are asking for the public's help in identifying a shooting suspect. According to police, the suspect fired a handgun several times into the windshield of an Infinity sedan in a parking lot located at 133 N 10th Street in the city's Chinatown neighborhood. Authorities say the incident happened on Thursday just before 2 p.m. The Infinity Sedan was being driven by an unknown person, who drove off from the scene without contacting police, officials say. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESPolice released video surveillance which shows the shooting after a crash involving the sedan and a silver Dodge Durango. According to authorities, the suspect arrived at and left the parking lot in the Dodge. Officials pointed out that the Dodge has a sunroof, tinted windows and a distinctive hood with scoops. Police say the vehicle has front-end damage and may no longer have a front bumper cover. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-8477 or submit an anonymous tip online.

PASADENA, Calif. - A search is underway for a man believed to be kidnapped by two suspects in the Pasadena area.According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, two male suspects got out of a 2008 silver Infiniti G-35 on Michillinda Avenue near Colorado Boulevard on Thursday.The suspects approached a Hispanic-looking man, possibly in his 30s, walking on the side sidewalk. LOS ANGELES - Harmony, a crypto firm in the United States, said on Friday it was robbed of approximately $100 million in digital currency, the latest in a string of cyber heists, Reuters reported. Harmony’s main mode of business involves developing blockchains, a decentralized digital ledger which keeps track of digital transactions of currency like crypto. The company tweeted it was "working with national authorities and forensic specialists to identify the culprit and retrieve the stolen funds," without giving further details.Harmony did not immediately respond to requests for comment sent via email and social media.These blockchains serve to offer loans and other financial services bypassing traditional centralized banking institutions most consumers have to go through to get credit and other forms of lending. Harmony, based in California, said crypto thieves hacked into their software where they were able to steal a variety of valuable cryptocurrencies including bitcoin and ether. Companies within the crypto sector have become increasingly targeted due to the volatility of the industry and lack of regulation. Over $1 billion has been stolen from blockchains so far in 2022, according to London-based blockchain analytics firm Elliptic. Another crypto heist which made U.S. headlines involved over $625 million in Ethereum and USD Coin which was stolen from the Ronin blockchain network.Ronin is a blockchain project used by the popular, non-fungible token (NFT)-based online game Axie Infinity, developed by publisher Sky Mavis.

PHILADELPHIA - In 2021, the month of April went from being Autism Awareness Month to Autism Acceptance Month in an effort to make society more accepting of differences and one local woman is focused on doing just that. More women are being diagnosed with autism as adults, including Sarah Nannery, the Director of Development for Autism Programming at Drexel University. She was diagnosed at the age of 31 when she was already a college graduate, married and a mother. "I went all through childhood just sort of being on the sidelines. I had a wonderful childhood, but there were just some differences that I never could really get a handle on," she told FOX 29. After she and her husband realized she needed more help and support in executive functioning and being the person she wanted to be, she took the steps to get a diagnosis despite fear. Laura Gaffney, an autism specialist at Durand Inc., joins to discuss the importance of autism awareness.Nannery says she was scared of an autism diagnosis because of society's view of the condition and the possible changes it potentially could have brought to her life and marriage, but she says it helped her. "The diagnosis helped me to know more about myself and know more about what tools I could use to be a better me," she said.

NEW YORK - A man is in critical condition after being run over by a car doing stunts in Lower Manhattan Saturday night.Video released by the NYPD shows a red two-door Infiniti sedan doing donuts near Vandam Street and Greenwich Street near Hudson Square just after midnight early Saturday morning. As the driver continued to spin his car, several spectators stepped out from the surrounding crowd, appearing to pull out phones to film the stunts.One man, a 23-year-old, fell in front of the car and was run over by the car.Police say the 23-year-old suffered a fractured skull, brain injury, and severe trauma to the body.
