PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man is wanted for fatally shooting a father as he was sitting inside a parked vehicle with his two teenage daughters last Fall in Queen Village.Philadelphia Police Deputy Commissioner Joel Dales said Scott Nushar, 39, is believed to be the gunman who opened fire on 42-year-old Raymond Lightly while he was seated inside a parked van on the 900 block of South 4th Street.
His 16-year-old and 13-year-old daughters were not hit by the gunfire. Police said a third daughter was also standing nearby at the time of the shooting, but was not harmed.Scott Nushar, 39, is wanted in the shooting death of a Philadelphia father who was killed in front of his two teenage daughters last Fall.
Responding officers found Lighty slumped over in the driver's seat with gunshot wounds to the chest, torso and head. He was rushed by police to Jefferson Hospital, where he died a short time later.Investigators say they found 14 spent shell casings at the scene, and many of them were found inches from the front of the van the victim and two of his daughters were sitting in.
Police counted 14 bullet holes in the vehicle's windshield. Months later, Dales said police believe that Light was killed by Nushar as ‘retaliation’ for an unspecified incident.
