Strictly Come Dancing recruit and former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith has been slammed by a medic for appearing on the show - as the NHS Trust she chairs warns hospitals are at a "tipping point".
Jacqui, 57, appeared on Saturday's Strictly launch show, being paired up with the BBC One hit's longest-serving pro dancer Anton du Beke.
The former Labour MP serves as the chair of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. Just last week, the trust's health chief Jonathan Brotherton warned that its hospitals are at a "tipping point" as the pandemic takes its toll.
