A seaside town in Spain hugely popular with expat Brits is on alert after 32 people tested positive for coronavirus. Now three nightclubs have closed in the seaside town of Mojacar, in the southern Spanish province of Almeria, where 80 per cent of the foreign population is British.
So far 26 waiters, PRs and bouncers have tested positive for Covid-19, with a further 6 people testing positive. Now the Spanish resort is on alert as heath officials fear the number of people infected will continue to grow.
Mojacar is well known for its nightlife and council leaders fear the outbreak is going to have a huge impact on tourism. Staff who have contracted coronavirus are most seasonal workers who came to the town in the Almeria region of Levante
