The Yakima Herald-Republic reports 20-year-old Army Pfc. Joseph A. Marquez, of Dover, Delaware, died Friday in what was described as a single-vehicle incident.In a Facebook post, the 8th Squadron, 1st U.S.

Calvary said, "It is with a heavy heart and incredible sadness that the Blackhawk Squadron announces the passing of one of our own PFC Joseph Alejandro Marquez.

PFC Marquez joined the Army in 2021 from his hometown of Dover, Delaware." PFC Joseph Alejandro Marquez of Dover, Delaware, was killed in an Army training accident in Washington.

Police: 2 suspects fire more than 30 shots, kill man walking his dog in Kensington

PHILADELPHIA - A man is dead after being shot and killed while walking his dog in Kensington, according to police. Authorities say the incident happened just after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night. Officers with the 24th District responded to numerous 911 calls reporting gunshots and a shooting at Frankford Avenue and E Atlantic Street, police say. According to Chief Inspector Scott Small, when police and medical personnel arrived on scene, they found a man on the grond with multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body. Medics transported him to Temple Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 11:55 p.m., per authorities. The victim's identity remains unknown, but neighbors told police he is known to the area, according to Small. Police say when the victim was found, he was still holding on to a leash with his dog attached. "We're getting information from witnesses that this victim was walking a dog when two males approached him, firing multiple shots," Small said.

Sheryl Grell was watching her son, Anthony, run up and down the field during a soccer game when suddenly, he collapsed on the field. At that moment, Grell's instincts kicked in as she rushed to the field to save her son's life. Grell, who is also an emergency room nurse, performed CPR on her son in a rush to keep him alive. UVALDE, Texas - A shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas left 14 children and one teacher dead on Tuesday. Governor Greg Abbott later said authorities killed the 18-year-old gunman.The suspect, identified by Abbott as Salvadore Ramas, entered Robb Elementary School after abandoning his vehicle with a handgun and possibly a rifle.
