Photo: Cal Fire CAPE HORN, Calif. - The internet was brimming with questions after a white Subaru Outback landed on the second-story roof of a home in Northern California. "How does this even happen?" Amy White wrote on Cal Fire's Facebook page.According to the Cal Fire Placer County unit, firefighters and the California Highway Patrol responded Sunday to a home on Robbers Ravine.

Crews worked to rescue the driver of the car, which had somehow launched itself up on the roof of the home. The driver, described only as a woman, was extricated from the Subaru and checked out by paramedics at the scene.

PG&E had to shut off power in the whole area. According to KCRA in Sacramento, the CHP said the driver was going "extremely fast" in a residential area where the posted speed limit is 10 mph.

No one in the home was injured. But the photos stunned social media."This doesn't seem possible," Jackie Bloomfield wrote on Facebook."WTH?" Terry Avery Anderson added.

Body burned beyond recognition found in backseat of vehicle after car fire in Oxford Circle, authorities say

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities in Philadelphia are investigating after a body was found in the back seat of a burning car early Tuesday morning. According to officials, police responded to a car fire in the area of Sylvester and Howell Streets in the Oxford Circle section of the city just before 1 a.m. Police say officers and medics arrived on scene to find a Honda CRV fully engulfed in flames. Once the fire department put out the flames, authorities say they realized there was a body in the back seat. The individual in the back seat was pronounced dead shortly after, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small, who says the body was burned beyond recognition. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAuthorities say the inside of the vehicle was also completely burned and there is damage to the vehicle's exterior. According to police, the car was parked there just before 1 a.m. and two people got out before the vehicle went up in flames. The person's cause of death remains under investigation, Small says. Car of missing Bensalem mom, daughter found in Philadelphia: police

PHILADELPHIA - Police are asking for the public's help to locate a mom and daughter missing from Bensalem after their vehicle was found in Philadelphia.Bridget and Danielle Hennigan were reported missing Friday after they were last seen Thursday evening in the family's 2011 Volkswagen Jetta PA registration HZB-0565.Philadelphia police say they found the vehicle unoccupied at the intersection of Girard Avenue and 2nd Street Saturday morning.MORE HEADLINES:Bridget's husband told police his wife suffers from anxiety and depression and his daughter is developmentally challenged.
