Ayrshire's biggest hospitality chain says the trade is being left in limbo by new Covid guidelines. Kenny Blair, managing director of Buzzworks, has criticised the Scottish Government's route out of lockdown.
As travel restrictions in Scotland are eased today, plans coming into force on Monday, April 26 will see bars and restaurants finally able to start trading again under limited hours. However, they will not be able to serve alcohol inside when the doors reopen. That's in stark contrast to venues hosting weddings and funerals for up to 50 people – where booze can be consumed.Mr Blair says that's a blatant contradiction and a flaw in the guidelines that make "no sense".
