A Scots carer has passed away from suspected coronavirus. The care giver passed away in West Dunbartonshire and is understood to be the first carer in Scotland to lose their life after contracting the deadly virus.
Their death comes at a time when the Scottish and UK Governments faced mounting criticism for apparently leaving NHS staff without enough proper PPE to keep them protected when treating Covid-19 patients.
Following the death, Scottish Labour Health Spokesperson Monica Lennon hailed social care staff as "the unsung heroes of the coronavirus pandemic."
