Schoolboy wins gold Blue Peter badge for overcoming disabilities to help others during pandemic

Rory Hand, 14, of Ashton-Under-Lyne, has anxiety, sensory processing disorder (SPD), and hypermobility. Despite his disabilities, Rory overcame his anxiety to help others with shopping and dog walking.

Along with his 25-year-old brother Conor, Rory also raised hundreds of pounds for charity. Mum Sue said: "I'm very proud and it was a bit of a shock because I wasn't sure that they handed the gold ones out to children.
