Rita Ora made sure to mark the 72nd birthday of the NHS, while praising her mum Vera for working as part of the health service during the coronavirus pandemic.

Sunday (5 July) marked 72 years since the NHS was first established and marking the occasion, Rita shared photos of healthcare staff in action over the years – including a snap of her mother proudly wearing her medical scrubs.

The singer, 29, told fans that her mum Vera is her ‘NHS Hero’ as she thanked doctors and nurses ‘past and present’ for their hard efforts.
