Philadelphia Police Cruiser PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department are looking into several violent incidents that left at least six people injured Friday night and Saturday morning. According to Philadelphia police, officers with the 25th District responded to the 1200 block of West Silver Street around 9:54 p.m. A 26-year-old man was found inside a residence on the 2700 block of North 11th Street with multiple gunshot wounds, police say. He was transported to Temple University Hospital where he is in stable condition, according to officials. At 10:44 p.m., officers responded to the 7900 block of Roosevelt Boulevard and found a 28-year-old with a graze wound to the chest, authorities say. Officials say, the shooting incident happened on the 2600 block of Ryan Avenue and the victim is in stable condition at Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital. At 12:30 a.m., a shooting victim flagged down police on the 3600 block of Roosevelt Boulevard with a gunshot wound to the buttocks, according to police. Authorities say the shooting happened near Harbison Avenue and Comly Street and the man is at Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition. One hour later, officers with the 16th district responded to a call for a shooting victim in a vehicle at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, police say. According to police, the shooting happened on the 5100 block of Haverford Avenue and a 25-year-old man was shot in the thigh. He is in stable condition, police say. ___MORE LOCAL HEADLINESOfficials say a 40-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a car on the 2300 block of North 22nd Street around 1:33 a.m. According to authorities, a person was driving southbound on 22nd Street when it veered

An undercover officer was shot at in Southwest Philadelphia.  PHILADELPHIA - An undercover officer is home recovering after his car was shot at overnight in Southwest Philadelphia, according to authorities. Police say the car he was in was hit by a bullet on the driver's side around 2:30 a.m. near S 58th Street and Lindbergh Boulevard.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police have released video they say shows the moment a suspect carjacked a driver at gunpoint earlier this week. The incident occurred near Torresdale and Cottman avenues around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the driver, who was working for a private taxi company, had picked up the suspect at Jackson and Bleigh Street. The suspect entered the car and paid his fare.As the car approached Torresdale and Cottman, video from inside the cab shows the suspect producing a black handgun with an extended magazine.

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University's director of public safety resigned Thursday amid a surge of violence near campus and a staffing shortage on the university's police force.Director Charles Leone will officially step down on Apr. 29 after spending more than 40 years at Temple, the school said. The resignation comes days after Temple's police union reported that it's facing a staffing crisis that has impacted campus safety.

PHILADELPHIA - Residents fed up with gun violence in their neighborhoods sat down with city officials Tuesday night in North Philadelphia to share ideas on what could save lives as the gun violence crisis worsens. "If we don’t continue to stay on track and recognize what are the issues that are kind of the root causes to the violence that we are seeing, we are never going to come out of this," Senior Director of Criminal Justice and Public Safety Erica Atwood said. Tuesday's meeting was the third stop on a citywide listening tour that supports the City’s Roadmap to Safer Communities initiative that supports a comprehensive gun violence reduction plan. North Philadelphia in particular has dealt with a number of recent shootings, including a 15-year-old boy who police say opened fire on a car full of girls and was later linked to two other shootings involving teens as young as 14. Temple University's police union recently admitted that it's operating at 60% of its normal workforce and officers have worked at least 42 overtime shifts since last summer. The department believes the staffing crisis is impacting the safety of Temple's campus. The union says it's operating at 60% of its typical workforce and each officer has worked about 42 overtime shifts since last July.

Philadelphia CBP Officers seize 18 pounds of cocaine hidden in cargo hold on flight from Jamaica to Philadelphia.  PHILADELPHIA - Officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection seized 18 pounds of cocaine in a cargo hold on a flight from Montego Bay, Jamaica on Tuesday, the agency announced. CBP officials say officers met the American Airlines flight as it gated and held a routine check of the cargo hold after the luggage was offloaded. During the examination, a narcotics detector dog alerted officers to an access panel, the agency says. According to officials, officers opened the access panel and found two gray Puma drawstring bags with eight wrapped bricks of cocaine and an empty plan blue duffel bag. Philadelphia CBP Officers seize 18 pounds of cocaine hidden in cargo hold on flight from Jamaica to Philadelphia.  CBP authorities believe the cocaine has a street value of about $580,000. "Narcotics interdiction remains a Customs and Border Protection priority and it is a mission that we conduct every day.

Deon Hudson, 25, is facing charges connected to illegal straw purchases of several firearms.  (Bucks County District Attorneys Office)PHILADELPHIA - Detectives from multiple agencies have announced the arrest of a Philadelphia man accused of illegally purchasing guns from various firearm stores in Pennsylvania. The investigation was a joint operation involving the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, the Office of Attorney General’s Gun Violence Task Force and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. According to authorities, 25-year-old Deon Lamont Hudson of Philadelphia was arrested on Friday. He was charged with 39 counts of unlawful sale or transfer of a firearm and conspiracy to commit the unlawful sale or transfer of a firearm, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office announced.Investigators say Hudson purchased 16 firearms at 8 different gun stores across Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia and Delaware counties between August 2020 and November 2021. According to authorities, he would then illegally transfer the purchased guns to others who cannot legally purchase firearms. Two of the guns were recovered on teenagers within 50 days of their purchase date, according to police. RELATED: Ghost guns are a growing concern in Philadelphia as gun violence rises, AG saysAdditionally, one of the guns was linked to two shooting incidents in Philadelphia, authorities say. Investigators were able to develop their case against Hudson after data showed multiple purchases of the same make, model and caliber of gun within days and weeks of each other, police say. "By using data and intelligence facilitated by our Track & Trace program, this joint investigation linked two of the guns straw purchased by the
