Frank Deshields, 52, of New Castle is being sought in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man outside of a New Castle motel.  NEW CASTLE, Del. - Police in Delaware are searching for a suspect accused of fatally stabbing a man outside of a motel in New Castle on Sunday. According to Delaware State Police, 52-year-old Frank Deshields is being sought by authorities. Police say troopers responded to The Super Lodge on West Avenue for a reported stabbing. According to authorities, troopers found a 45-year-old New Castle man outside of the motel with a stab wound to his upper torso. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities say. Investigators say Deshields is a suspect in the case and an arrest warrant was obtained for first-degree murder and weapon charges. The investigation is active and ongoing, according to authorities.

RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas - A murder charge against a 26-year-old Texas woman will be dropped, says 229th Judicial District Attorney Gocha Allen Ramirez, who serves Starr, Jim Hogg and Duval counties.In a release, Ramirez says he reached out to Lizelle Herrera's counsel to say that his office would be filing a motion to dismiss the indictment against her on Monday, April 11. According to Ramirez, a review of applicable Texas law showed that Herrera "cannot and should not be prosecuted for the allegation against her." ORLANDO, Fla. - A 72-year-old man was arrested and booked into jail after he allegedly threw a beer bottle at a Muslim man and made comments about his religion, and authorities are investigating the incident as a possible hate crime.According to the arrest report, a group of people was outside a hookah lounge in Orlando on Wednesday and one of the men was apparently in traditional Muslim clothing. Victor Dubauskas, of Orlando, stopped to question the group of people about "where they were from and their religion," the report said. He then singled out the man in the group who was wearing traditional clothing.Victor Dubauskas, who is charged with assault and battery after throwing a beer bottle in the direction of a Muslim man and threatening to kill a group of people, according to deputies.

CAPE MAY COUNTY, N.J. - A 62-year-old Millville, New Jersey man has been arrested in connection with a cold case from Wildwood 32-years ago.Cape May County officials announced the arrest of Jerry Rosado, Friday, and that he is charged with the sexual assault of Susan Negersmith, in a case stemming from 1990.Negersmaith, from Carmel, New York, was found partially clothed on May 27, 1990, outside a storage area near a Wildwood restaurant. She was 20-years-old.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities say a man was injured in a broad daylight shooting Friday afternoon outside the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Officer were called to the area of 12th and Vine streets around 5 p.m for reports of a shooting. Philadelphia Police Captain John Walker told reporters that officers found a blood trail for several blocks that lead them to a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm. The victim was taken to Jefferson University Hospital in stable condition, according to police. Walker said investigators believe the shooting happened during an argument between two men. The shooter, a Black man wearing all black clothes and a white "item" on his head, then walked to 13th Street where investigators lost sight of him.Walker told reporters that there were people around during the shooting happened.

Zachary Paulison (Booking photo from Sarpy County Jail) OMAHA, Neb. - Police arrested an Omaha man Wednesday on suspicion of being drunk and causing a fiery crash last week that killed two women, including a corrections officer who was eight months pregnant.Zachary Paulison, who turned 22 Wednesday, was booked on suspicion of two counts of vehicular homicide while intoxicated and one count of vehicular homicide of an unborn child, Omaha police said in a news release Wednesday.Investigators believe Paulison was drunk the night of March 31 when his pickup truck collided with the sport utility vehicle driven by 37-year-old Sara Zimmerman, who was an officer with the Douglas County Department of Corrections. MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - A man is facing charges for a deadly beating in Minneapolis that was recorded and posted on Facebook last month.Nineteen-year-old Emmanuel Davis is charged with murder for the violent attack that happened just over a month ago on March 6. He was taken into custody last month by Minneapolis police, about two weeks after the attack.According to the criminal complaint, police believe Davis used his girlfriend to lure the victim into an ambush.Police learned of the attack on March 6 after being alerted by a family member of the victim who said they were sent a video showing her family member being violently attacked.

PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man was sentenced Thursday to one year in prison for shining a laser pointer at an airborne Philadelphia police helicopter last December. Raji Yusuf, 36, will also serve three years of supervised release and was ordered to pay $1,000 fine, according to United States Attorney Jennifer Arbittier Williams.Prosecutors said a Philadelphia police helicopter with two aboard was on routine night patrol near the Northeast Philadelphia Airport around 10 p.m. when the aircraft was struck multiple times by a "high intensity green laser."The laser illuminated the cockpit and temporarily distorted the officers vision, according to investigators.

LEBANON, Pa. - A man who broke into his stepfather's house opened fire on responding police officers, killing a lieutenant one month away from retirement and wounding two other officers, a prosecutor said Thursday, releasing details of last week's gunfight that also killed the suspect.Lebanon City Police Lt. William Lebo, 63, and three other uniformed officers were met with immediate gunfire when they entered the home on Forest Street, where the suspect had smashed a window to gain entry, Lebanon County District Attorney Pier Hess Graf said at a news conference.Travis Shaud, 34, of Lebanon, kept firing even after being hit by return fire, Graf said, but eventually went down and was pronounced dead at the scene.
