PHILADELPHIA - Investigators with the Philadelphia Police Department's Shooting Investigation Group are working to find a suspect who they say shot a man twice early Friday morning. According to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small, the shooting took place on the 300 block of S 40th Street just after 1 a.m. Officials say officers responded to the street and found a 33-year-old man lying on the ground with two gunshot wounds to his abdomen. He was rushed to Presbyterian Hospital, where he is in critical condition going in and out of consciousness, Small says. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAuthorities say three spent shell casings were discovered on the sidewalk a few feet from the victim. Police have not arrested the shooter but believe he is a male who fled south on foot with a woman, according to investigators. This is a developing story. PHILADELPHIA - A rideshare driver on route taking a passenger through North Philadelphia was shot and severely injured on Wednesday night, authorities say. According to police, the incident happened just after 11 p.m. in the area of Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue. Officials say when officers arrived on scene, they saw the vehicle, a Honda CRV, that jumped the curb and struck a utility pole. A 34-year-old driver was slumped in the driver's seat with a gunshot wound to the head, law enforcement officials said. Police investigate scene of crash involving rideshare driver shot in the area of Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue.  MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe driver was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he is in extremely critical condition, according to authorities. Chief Inspector Scott Small told FOX 29 the rideshare driver was going westbound on the 1300 block of Lehigh Avenue after picking up an 18-year-old female passenger a few blocks away. Officials say the passenger told detectives she heard about five or six gunshots before the vehicle's windshield broke, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, jump the curb and crash. According to investigators, at least one bullet went through the driver's rear headrest. Small says the passenger is extremely lucky she was not also struck by gunfire. Police say six spent shell casings were discovered on scene. Investigators do not know if the rideshare driver was targeted or was struck by stray gunfire, Small says. Police are investigating after a rideshare driver was shot while driving as passenger in North Philadelphia, authorities say.

OLNEY - A 30-year-old woman is in critical condition and her 2-year-old daughter was shot in both legs after a shooting in Olney.The shooting happened on the 100 block of East Albanus Street Wednesday night, just after 8:15.Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small said the little girl was shot in both legs. PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is investigating a shooting on a Kensington street, where police say a teenage shooting victim was found. According to authorities, just after 10 p.m. on Thursday, police were dispatched to the 800 block of E Allegheny Avenue for a report of gunshots. Officials say responding officers found a 15-year-old girl lying on G Street with a gunshot wound to both thighs. She was transported to Temple University Hospital, where she is in critical condition, but expected to survive, police say. Chief Inspector Scott Small says about 15 minutes later, police heard gunshots as they were investigating the scene. Officers ran in the direction and found a 25-year-old man firing shots, police say. MORE LOCAL HEADLINES According to Small, officers were able to get him to lay down and hand over his weapon. Police say he was also shot in both legs and taken to Temple University Hospital, where he is in stable condition. Officials say investigators believe he was the one who was firing shots on the 800 block of E Allegheny, where the teenage girl was struck. The man was also taken into custody, police say. According to investigators, 14 spent shell casings were found at the scene. Police say cars on E Allegheny Avenue were also struck by gunfire. This is a developing story.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that erupted outside a Philadelphia hospital early Thursday morning. According to authorities, three men were shot on the 3400 block of Germantown Avenue right outside the emergency entrance of Temple University Hospital around 12:30 a.m.Officers from the 24th Philadelphia police district and Temple University police responded to the scene, according to Chief Inspector Scott Small. Authorities say an 18-year-old was shot in the hand, a 22-year-old man was shot in the knee and a 25-year-old man was shot in the face, back and arm. MORE LOCAL HOSPITALSAccording to Small, all three victims walked themselves into the emergency room for treatment and are in stable condition. Police say more than 40 shots were fired, including bullets that struck the hospital building. Investigators were observed on scene placing dozens of evidence markers down outside the hospital. The motive for the shooting remains unclear, police say. Three people were injured in a triple shooting outside of Temple University Hospital's emergency room.
