COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police launched an investigation into an incident where a man had attacked an electrician with a sharp weapon in Koralawella, Moratuwa.Sri Lanka Police said that the attacker had taken away the hands of the victim after chopping them off.

Sri Lanka Police said the incident took place following a heated exchange of words between two neighboring families at around 7 PM on Tuesday (21) night.The 40-year-old man whose hands were amputated was rushed to the Panadura General Hospital for treatment.CCTV cameras had captured the moment of the attacks, and also the manner in which the attacker walked away with another man's amputated hands.An investigation is underway to locate and arrest the suspect..
