What started as a way to make money for a $2,500 mountain bike that his mom was not willing to buy soon blossomed into an obsessive hobby -- even after he saved up enough for his dream-bike."I still wanted to fix bikes, it was a passion," Dom told FOX 29's Dawn Timmeny.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating a shooting that they say happened at the basketball courts inside a Mayfair park Monday night. Just after 6 p.m., police responded to Russo Playground, located on the 7300 block of Torresdale Avenue, for reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a man who had been shot one time in the leg. The victim was transported to Jeanes Hospital where authorities say he was placed in stable condition. Authorities say no arrest was made, and no weapon was recovered. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department.

PHILADELPHIA - A suspect has been taken into custody in connection with a shooting that killed a Temple University police officer in the line of duty near the school's campus Saturday night, sources tell FOX 29.Police say the officer was trying to intervene in a carjacking in the area of 18th Street and Montgomery Avenue in North Philadelphia when he was shot.The officer was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he later died, according to the university. His identity has not yet been released.Law enforcement sources tell FOX 29 that an arrest made in Bucks County early Sunday morning was in connection to the Saturday night's shooting.

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - A man has been ordered to stand trial in the shooting death of one police officer and the wounding of another in western Pennsylvania earlier this month.Johnathan Jermia Morris, 31, of McKeesport is charged in Allegheny County with criminal homicide, attempted homicide and assault of a law enforcement officer and firearms crimes in the Feb. 6 shootings in McKeesport, about 12 miles (20 kilometers) south of Pittsburgh.Authorities have said that officers were called to a home over a dispute involving a man who police said was having a "mental health crisis." PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are looking to speak with six teenagers following a shooting that injured two teens late last week. On Friday, Feb. 10 around 8 p.m., police say a 14-year-old boy and 19-year-old man were shot near the unit block of Chestnut Street and Penn’s Landing. Both were taken to Jefferson University Hospital in Center City and placed in stable condition.Investigators have now released video of six individuals wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help to identify two teenage suspects wanted in connection with a deadly shooting from January. Authorities say the shooting occurred on the 1400 block of Erie Avenue on January 11 at 5:30 p.m. Officers who responded on scene found 16-year-old Semaj Richardson unresponsive on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the chest, back and arm, police say. According to officials, the teen was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he later died. Police released surveillance video from the shooting in hopes someone will identify the suspects, who police say are in their teens. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in the case. Anyone who sees the suspects is urged to contact 911 immediately.
