Boy, 9, injured on thrill ride at Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay: report
ORLANDO, Fla. – Authorities found a 9-year-old boy unresponsive on a thrill ride at Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay a couple of weeks after the theme park reopened after a shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.The child was taken to a hospital for treatment and was released the following day, Universal spokesman Tom Schroder told the Orlando Sentinel.The incident happened June 14 at the Kala and Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides, according to a quarterly report in which the major theme parks voluntarily disclose whether their visitors were hurt on a ride and hospitalized for at least 24 hours.
