Parents 'gutted' as schools ban audiences from nativities amid Covid

Parents are gutted as schools are choosing to record nativities and shows rather than let audiences attend. Families missed out last year when tighter restrictions were in place and most classes were still in bubbles to limit the number of kids mixing.

But there are concerns over how many Covid cases are still arising in schools, which is having an impact on staffing levels too.

For that reason, many schools have decided to either cancel events altogether, or to record performances rather than having families attend in person.
