The Academy is stressing the importance of public health and safety amid the Coronavirus pandemic, and thus, the 2021 Oscars will take place from multiple locations.
The Oscars, which were pushed back to late April 2021 from February 2021, traditionally take place in one large auditorium with everyone gathered to watch together.
However, due to COVID-19 and the restrictions that will likely be in place in April, gatherings are not recommended. “In this unique year that has asked so much of so many, the Academy is determined to present an Oscars like none other, while prioritizing the public health and safety of all those who will participate.
