Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said the Government will not be discussing further restrictions or extending Level 3 to other counties at today's Cabinet meeting.
He said National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) will meet later this week and the Government will consider their advice when it comes.
It comes as the latest data from the Health Service Executive shows there are 114 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in hospitals. Of these, 17 are in intensive care units.
It compares with 108 patients reported at this time yesterday, with 17 of these in ICU. There are currently 121 suspected cases of the disease in hospitals, with eight in ICU.
