A number of walk-in Covid-19 test centres will open at locations around the country in the coming days. The HSE says the centres are part of an ongoing effort to actively identify cases of the virus.

These new temporary testing centres will replace the five pop up ones that launched last week in Dublin and Offaly. They closed this evening.

Non-appointment, asymptomatic walk-in centres in areas will open in areas where the number of positive cases is particularly high at present.

They are open to anyone over the age of 16, with no symptoms, who lives within 5km of a test centre and would like to be swabbed for the virus.
