A mum who discovered she was having twins after being put into a coma while battling Covid-19 has given birth. Danielle Martin, 32, from Belfast, Northern Ireland, was given the joyful news that she was expecting two little bundles of joy when she woke up after ten days.
The then mum-of-three had been rushed to hospital on March 30 when she began to feel as though she was "suffocating". An initial pneumonia diagnosis was changed when she tested positive for Covid-19 on April 1.
At that point Danielle knew that she was pregnant, although she thought with just one baby. The expectant mum's condition deteriorated and she was taken to intensive care, where she spent ten days in a coma and on a ventilator. Do you have a uplifting coronavirus
