(AP) - Authorities issued an arrest warrant Monday for a corrections official who they say helped an inmate arrested on a murder charge escape from an Alabama jail even as they searched for the pair.The inmate, Casey Cole White, 38, disappeared Friday after he left the Lauderdale County Detention Center in Florence, Alabama, on Friday morning with Vicky White, the facility's assistant director of corrections.

Starting in 2023, Pennsylvania residents will need a REAL ID to board a flight or access certain facilities.  PHILADELPHIA - Pennsylvanians who want to travel will soon need a little gold star on their diver's license in order to do so. The star, located in the upper right corner of Pennsylvania driver's licenses, indicates that the driver's license is a REAL ID, which is a credential that Pennsylvania residents will need to have in 2023.Transportation Security Administration (TSA) says REAL ID's will be required starting May 3, 2023 and residents will have the option to upgrade to a REAL ID at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) office. A standard license will not be valid to board a flight or access a secure federal building, like a military base or certain federal offices, according to PennDOT officials. "Although a year seems like a long time to get ready, the deadline will be upon us before you know it," says PennDOT Executive Deputy Secretary, Melissa Batula.

PHILADELPHIA - What started off as a painting is now Philadelphia's newest sculpture. On Sunday, the new "OY/YO" sculpture was installed outside the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History on 5th and Market Streets in Old City. "It's two little letters that speak to many, many communities," said Deborah Kass, the artist behind the eight feet tall sculpture. "OY/YO," depending on which side you look at the sculpture, will either read "YO" or "OY." Kass says "Yo" is a greeting term in many communities and "Oy" is a Yiddish term that signifies exasperation or worry. When you walk up to the Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, the "YO" side of the sculpture is outfacing. Kass says she decided to have "YO" facing museum visitors because she likes the welcome that it represents. Kass created the first painting of "OY" in 2010 before creating its counterpart, "YO" a year later."In 2011, I made "YO" because I saw a reflection of "OY" in a window and the painting made itself," said Kass.In 2015, Kass created her first large "OY/YO" sculpture, which started out in between the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges in New York City.

PHILADELPHIA - The former Philadelphia police officer who fatally shot 12-year-old TJ Siderio in South Philadelphia has been charged with murder, District Attorney Larry Krasner announced Monday. According to Krasner, former officer Edsaul Mendoza is facing multiple charges including first-degree murder, third-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter in connection with the fatal shooting. Mendoza is in custody and being held without bail, Krasner said during a Monday morning press conference, adding that no bail is normal for the seriousness of the charges. Police say four plainclothes officers in an unmarked car were patrolling the area near the 1700 block of Barbara Street around 7 p.m. on March 1 when they spotted two juveniles on bikes. According to investigators, officers noticed that one of the juveniles was armed with a handgun and turned on the emergency lights to confront him.

Czar McMichael, 22, is facing murder charges after allegedly killing his grandfather and another man in Logan.  PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man has been arrested and faces murder charges after he fatally shot his grandfather and another man who may be a relative in Logan.  PREVIOUS: Police: 2 bodies found inside home of man, 67, missing from LoganAuthorities say the double murder scene was discovered on the 4600 block of North Broad Street in the city's Logan neighborhood at 4:42 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun, authorities say. According to police, the decomposed body of a person was found shot on the third floor of the residence and the body of a 45-year-old man was also found fatally shot in the home. Investigators learned that on April 28, 67-year-old Benjamin McMichael went into the bedroom that belonged to his grandson, 22-year-old Czar McMichael, and complained about the condition, police say. When Benjamin McMichael grabbed his grandson's arm, Czar McMichael spun around and fatally shot him, according to police. Days later, on the afternoon of April 30, a witness and 45-year-old Anthony Ham went to the residence on North Broad Street to check on Benjamin McMichael, who they had not heard from for several days, authorities say. According to police, Ham entered the home through a window and then opened the door for the unnamed witness. While checking the home, Ham confronted Czar McMichael on the third floor and they got into a verbal altercation, police say. Authorities say Czar McMichael then shot Ham multiple times before fleeing the home as the witness called 911. He was stopped and arrested on N.

It was initially released on Gigi’s heavenly 15th birthday and quickly sold out.

JACKSON, Miss. - One person is dead and several others were injured following a shooting at a festival in Mississippi, according to sheriff officials.Hinds County Sheriff Tyree Jones said on social media that "several" people were taken to local hospitals Saturday night with unknown injuries, and one person was confirmed dead at the scene. Jones said the incident occurred at the Mississippi State Fairgrounds, which is hosting the Mississippi Mudbug Festival.Jones said an "officer involved shooting investigation is underway stemming from this incident," but did not provide additional details.

ATLANTA - Atlanta Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of a pedal pub crash that left at least 15 people injured.The pedal pub crashed on Saturday near the intersection of 14th Street and West Peachtree Street in Midtown.Fire officials said two people went to Grady Memorial Hospital in critical condition.The vehicle was attempting to make a turn but was traveling at a high rate of speed and tipped over, Atlanta police said.14th and West Peachtree Street (FOX 5 Atlanta) Fire officials said, in addition to the two critical injures,10 people had minor injures and three had serious injuries. It's unclear how many people were riding the cart and if all the injured people were passengers. No other vehicles were involved, Atlanta Fire said.
