Man hanged himself over positive Covid test before next swab revealed he didn't have it

Coronavirus had actually tested negative, according to reports. In a sobering story emerging from Mexico, 29-year-old Mario Alberto was awaiting the results of a second swab when he took his own life in a hospital bathroom.The young man was admitted to the healthcare facility in Monclova having had rapid test result come back positive.Doctors noted the positive result and, as he had some symptoms, ordered a second test to confirm his diagnosis.Whilst being treated in a special area for coronavirus, Mario was left unattended for 20 minutes in a toilet.

A nurse who went to check on him found him hanged with a bed sheet, Mexico News Daily said. Leopoldo Santillán, a Coahuila social security administrator, said there were no plans to sanction.
