He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson will set out a "road map" for relaxing England's coronavirus lockdown measures on February 22.

The third national lockdown was imposed on January 5 as confirmed cases and deaths soared while the new and more infectious Kent variant spread out of control.

It appears some restrictions could continue until April, May or even June as measures are lifted in a slow, gradual approach.
