Jaliel Perry, 18 SUSSEX COUNTY, Del. - A police pursuit resulted in the arrest of an 18-year-old and an injured trooper in Delaware this weekend.Jaliel Perry, 18, is charged with assault second degree of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with force or violence, tampering with evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief.Police say Perry ran from troopers when they responded to reports of suspicious activity on Pinetown Road in Lewes Saturday morning.He appeared to be selling illegal narcotics and discarded an unknown object into nearby woods before fleeing, according to police. The pursuit ended a short time later, and police attempted to Perry into custody.

William Tatman, 43, is facing multiple charges after leading Delaware State Police on a pursuit in a stolen car.  REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Delaware State Police is investigating after a man allegedly stole a car and led police on a pursuit across the state. Police say troopers responded to the 20,000 block of Coastal Highway in Rehoboth Beach just after 5 p.m. on Saturday. According to investigators, a suspect, later identified as 43-year-old William Tatman, was seen going through vehicles on the property and he was confronted by a witness. Tatman then fled towards the Loft apartments across the road and got into a 2006 Infiniti M35 that was running in the back of the complex, police say. Authorities say troopers saw Tatman driving off in the car as the 21-year-old car owner getting dragged as he tried to stop him. Investigators say the trooper activated his emergency lights and sirens in an effort to stop the suspect, but he fled in the victim's car. Police say the pursuit began westbound on the Lewes-Georgetown Highway where the suspect tried to strike a trooper who was trying to deploy stop sticks. According to authorities, the pursuit continues to Rt.

LEWES, Del. - A 16-year-old girl was killed when an all-terrain vehicle loaded with five teenagers sped around a curve, flipped over, and slammed into a tree Tuesday evening in Delaware, according to police. Delaware State Police said the fatal accident happened near a property on Robbinsville Road in Lewes just before 7 p.m. Three 16-year-olds, a 15-year-old, and a 17-year-old piled into a two-seat John Deere Gator and tried to negotiate a steep turn when the vehicle skidded off the roadway and tumbled onto its roof.An unnamed 16-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
