Sign up to the weekly West Lothian Courier newsletter for the latest West Lothian news and sport.West Lothian has creeped above the national average for Covid-19 infections.The county had been sitting below Scotland-wide average for over a month but infection rates are declining faster in other parts of the country.The latest Public Health Scotland (PHS) data for West Lothian shows that there were 26 new cases, 223 over the seven day period from February 2 to 8, and a new total of 5887 since the first person tested positive in the county on March 9.This means 122 per 100,000 of the population have tested positive for Covid-19 over the past week in West Lothian, above the national average of 111.In Lothian there were 81 new cases, 791 over.
