For all the latest news from in and around Bolton, sign up for the free MyBolton newsletterCoronavirus infection rates have continued to fall across Greater Manchester, but have edged back upwards in one borough.Overall the number of positive tests dropped by 12 per cent in the week ending on January 16, compared with the previous week.Latest figures issued by Public Health England show that 10,963 people tested positive across Greater Manchester during the 7 days period up to Saturday - that's 1,489 fewer than the previous week.It means the infection rate for the region has fallen to 386.6 per 100,000 people after peaking at over 450 earlier in the month.But while the rates are falling in nine of the ten boroughs, they did edge slightly.
