WASHINGTON - After years of controversy swirling around the Washington Commanders and Dan Snyder, a new owner could soon be taking over D.C.'s football franchise.According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Josh Harris, the Philadelphia 76ers co-owner, is nearing a deal to acquire the Commanders for just under $6 billion.

Harris’ group also includes D.C.-area billionaire Mitchell Rales and former NBA star Magic Johnson.Rapoport's report states that the deal has not been finalized, or submitted to the league yet for approval.

Police: Wilmington double shooting kills man, injures girl, 14

WILMINGTON, Del. - A 47-year-old man is dead and a 14-year-old girl is recovering after they were both shot in Wilmington.Officials say Wilmington police were called to the 1800 block of West 3rd Street Saturday night, just after 9:30, on the report of a shooting.Officers found the 47-year-old man with critical injuries. He was taken to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and died.MORE HEADLINES:Police also found a 14-year-old girl with undisclosed gunshot wounds.
