Fans saw upsetting scenes on Coronation Street as a pale Faye Windass emerged from the bathroom and told her friend Emma Brooker she feared she was losing her baby.

At the hospital Faye and her partner Craig Tinker waited for the scan results but were shocked by what they were told. Last month Faye revealed that she was pregnant.

And she was worried that the timing was awful as she and policeman Craig had been at loggerheads. Faye, played by Ellie Leach, had been covering up the death of a pensioner called Ted who she had accidentally run down on New Year's Day.

NORTH WILDWOOD, N.J. - The City of North Wildwood has terminated its contract with its waste removal company amid threats from the company saying they'd leave trash in the streets, city officials allege. According to a press release from the city, the contract with Gold Medal Environmental New Jersey, Inc. (GME) was terminated. The city says GME is a "subsidiary of the multibillion-dollar private equity firm Kinderhook Industries, headquartered in New York City." According to the city, GME's CEO showed up at the North Wildwood Public Works Building on March 8 insisting that the city pay GME two to three times the agreed upon contract amount or the company would "leave the trash in the streets." According to a legal document sent to GME's leaders, in an email sent on April 25, GME's CEO said: "My message hasn't changed: trash (or recycling or yard waste, etc) will start being left on the streets May 1 (whatever we cannot afford to pick up at current contract prices) if we are not back in good faith negotiations to address this emergency situation as other towns have already, and your offices will choose both where this starts and ends.

‘Rolling Thunder’ convoy expected to continue protest in Ottawa after arrests

“Rolling Thunder” protest in Ottawa clashed with police leading to several arrests Friday after a small convoy of vehicles attempted to make their way toward Parliament Hill.Many of the demonstrators were also part of the “Freedom Convoy” demonstration that seized the capital for weeks in February in protest of vaccine mandates, COVID-19 restrictions and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Ottawa police make several arrests as ‘Rolling Thunder’ rally rolls downtown The protest started relatively calmly on Parliament Hill Friday but as night fell a few hours later, a line of big-rigs, campers and other trucks made their way into the core.Protesters gathered around the trucks, and police in tactical gear formed a line and faced them down.In total today:– Seven people were arrested for various charges, including assault police– 24 vehicles were towedThere have been no reported injuries, and police remain in full control of city streets.
