A son who spent days trying to book a coronavirus test for his sick father has slammed the system as “infuriating and bizarre” after turning up to an “empty” testing facility. The teacher - who asked not to be named - tried to book a Covid-19 test for his clinically vulnerable dad, 60, when he started to suffer with a hacking cough. But he says he was repeatedly faced with online error messages and told the nearest available testing slots were miles from home.He says: “My dad started showing Covid symptoms last week, so rang the doctor.“The doctor advised that he needed to have a Covid test and told him how to get one.
