A trooper was said to have fired their assigned firearm during the stop, hitting the driver.The driver left the scene, driving onto South Carlisle Street, where the driver hit other vehicles before their own vehicle stopped on the 500 block of South Carlisle.The driver was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital Fountain Hill for treatment.

MONROE TOWNSHIP, Ohio - An Ohio man accused of fatally shooting his three young sons admitted to planning the killings and lined them up before executing them with a rifle, prosecutors said Friday.Chad Doerman, 32, who is also accused of wounding the boys' mother at the family’s home, has been charged with aggravated murder, authorities said.Clermont County's chief prosecutor of Municipal Court, David Gast, said during Doerman's arraignment Friday that one of the boys tried to flee into a nearby field but Doerman "hunted" his son down and brought him back to their home before killing him.Doerman's bail has been set at $20 million. Court records did not indicate whether he was represented by a lawyer at his arraignment.

WASHINGTON - A manhunt continues for the gunmen who shot and killed a pregnant woman in Washington, D.C. Thursday while she sat in a parked car.Authorities say the shooting happened around 11:20 a.m. in the 300 block of 37th Street in the southeast.  D.C. Police Assistant Chief of Patrol Services, Andre Wright, said the woman and man were in a parked vehicle when a white sedan pulled up and two armed men jumped out.

FRANKFORD - A man was critically injured after he was shot in the leg on a SEPTA train near the Arrott Transportation Center.The shooting happened Thursday afternoon, about 3:15, at 4700 Frankford Avenue, very near the SEPTA Arrott Transportation Center, officials said. A Philadelphia councilmember is now working to get the masks banned in the city.  PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia Councilmember has introduced legislation banning ski masks throughout the city. Councilmember Anthony Phillips, who represents the 9th District, introduced the legislation on Thursday. According to officials, if it passes, the bill would prohibit people from wearing skis masks in schools, recreation centers, daycares, parks, city-owned buildings, or on any mode of transportation. If approved, breaking the ban would result in a $250 penalty. The bill would also impose a $2,000 fine for those wearing ski masks while committing a crime, officials say. Exceptions will be made for various circumstances, including wearing ski masks or balaclavas for traditional holiday costumes, religious holidays, employment, theatrical productions, or winter sports. "Neighbors consistently ask me when Council will ban ski masks and, while going out in the community to get feedback on this issue, the common thread was that residents want a ban," Phillips said.

PHILADELPHIA - A rideshare driver on route taking a passenger through North Philadelphia was shot and severely injured on Wednesday night, authorities say. According to police, the incident happened just after 11 p.m. in the area of Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue. Officials say when officers arrived on scene, they saw the vehicle, a Honda CRV, that jumped the curb and struck a utility pole. A 34-year-old driver was slumped in the driver's seat with a gunshot wound to the head, law enforcement officials said. Police investigate scene of crash involving rideshare driver shot in the area of Broad Street and Lehigh Avenue.  MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe driver was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he is in extremely critical condition, according to authorities. Chief Inspector Scott Small told FOX 29 the rideshare driver was going westbound on the 1300 block of Lehigh Avenue after picking up an 18-year-old female passenger a few blocks away. Officials say the passenger told detectives she heard about five or six gunshots before the vehicle's windshield broke, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle, jump the curb and crash. According to investigators, at least one bullet went through the driver's rear headrest. Small says the passenger is extremely lucky she was not also struck by gunfire. Police say six spent shell casings were discovered on scene. Investigators do not know if the rideshare driver was targeted or was struck by stray gunfire, Small says. Police are investigating after a rideshare driver was shot while driving as passenger in North Philadelphia, authorities say.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities are searching for a group of young men who they say have stolen several rental cars off the lots of major car rental companies at Philadelphia International Airport. Investigators say the pattern of thefts began in January, when groups of two-to-six people would sneak onto the rental car lots that are often protected by fences, gates, or barriers. Police believe the suspects have several methods of stealing the rental cars, including simply using the keys that were left inside the vehicles by some of the car rental companies.When the rental companies enhanced their security due to the thefts, police say group restored to threatening the parking lot attendant at gunpoint to open the exit gate. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESA video shared by the Philadelphia Police Department shows several vehicles lined up at the exit booth, when the driver of the first vehicle demands the gate to be opened at gunpoint.Four vehicles are seen on video driving through the open gate. Police estimate the suspects to be between 16 and 22-years-old, often wearing dark clothing and face masks.Anyone with information of the suspects or the thefts is asked to contact the Philadelphia Police Department's Major Crimes Unit.
