A heroic ambulance worker has revealed the hurt she has felt after being racially abused on the frontline during the pandemic - just because she is a Muslim.

Mahdiyah Bandali, opened up about the disgusting comments which have come her way including being abused by a patient who said: “I don’t want to be touched by a filthy muslim.” The 22-year-old previously spoke about the Islamophobia she endured earlier this year when she tweeted about it.

On March 8 2021 the social media post went viral when Mahdiyah tweeted about being called a f****ing p*ki multiple times on her last ambulance shift.

Mahdiyah says she experienced huge wave of support at the time but it hasn’t stopped the racial prejudice she experiences on duty.
