Covid-19 outbreak has been forced to close after six adults tested positive for the virus. An investigation is under way after the cases linked to Kingspark School in Dundee rose from one to six overnight.
NHS Tayside and Dundee City Council have decided to temporarily shut the education hub until at least next week to allow for a deep clean.
In a joint statement, they said that it was a “precautionary measure” and that their investigation into the cluster continues.Kingspark School has approximately 185 pupils, aged between five and 18 years, many of whom have disabilities or additional support needs.Dr Ellie Hothersall, Consultant in Public Health Medicine with NHS Tayside, said, “We would like to reassure parents that we are taking this.
