Iconic TV chef Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant empire lost out on millions of euros last year in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, it’s been reported.
The 54-year-old is said to have missed out on an eye-watering £5.1million (€5.97 million) from August 2020 in accounts that compared to his profit of £15.2million (€17.8 million) for the previous year.
Like millions of other hospitality businesses that were hit hard by the pandemic, Gordon’s was no exception to the rule. Despite owning establishments in tourist-bustling cities including Las Vegas and Versailles, it made no difference while lockdown continued.
In fact, Gordon’s company was forced to rely on the £3.2million (€3.75 million) that it received through the government’s furlough
