Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born 30 March 1965) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and television personality. He is currently a co-presenter of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain from Monday to Wednesday each week. Morgan began his career in Fleet Street as a writer and editor for several tabloid papers, including The Sun, News of the World, and the Daily Mirror. In 1994, aged 29, he was appointed editor of the News of the World by Rupert Murdoch, which made him the youngest editor of a British national newspaper in more than half a century.

GMB's Dr Hilary warns UK 'needs to get a grip' amid 'worrying' rise in coronavirus cases

Dr Hilary Jones warned Good Morning Britain viewers that the UK needs to "get a grip" and follow social distancing rules, to avoid a second wave of coronavirus.

As GMB hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid covered the fact hospitals were apparently preparing for a "deadly" second wave soon, Dr Hilary urged people to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 before it is too late.

Hilary advised viewers on the "worrying" rise in cases in the UK, as well as specifically in care homes following the devastating scandal surrounding care home deaths from the virus earlier this year.

Now, as parts of the UK bring in a new rule limiting gatherings to just six people, the doctor told those watching to take the virus seriously.
