AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price of a gallon of regular gas in New Jersey on Friday was $3.87, down 12 cents from last week.

Drivers were paying $3.20 a gallon on average a year ago at this time. The national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $3.80, down six cents from last week.

'9/11 is still taking lives': Former Philadelphia cop reflects on city's first response 21 years later

PHILADELPHIA - It's been 21 years since the terror attacks on the World Trade Centers, but their effects are still being felt today - emotionally and physically.Former Philadelphia Police Sgt. Greg Masi was part of the city's initial response team to New York City following the tragic events of September 11."Throughout the entire day we all realized we didn't know what was going to happen next," Masi said.Masi, who is currently the chief of Philadelphia 2nd Alarmers, says an unaccounted aircraft was headed to Philadelphia from Paris. "Philadelphia being the birthplace of the nation, they thought that they maybe we were a potential target," he said.

Steel trident from World Trade Center erected at Pennsylvania museum to pay tribute on September 11

PHILADELPHIA - A large piece of history sits in Chester County as the nation comes together to remember the lives taken during the 9/11 terrorists attacks.The National Iron & Steel Heritage Museum in Coatesville is home to the largest collection of World Trade Center steel outside New York City. In 1969, Luken's Steel built massive steel structures, known as "trees" or "tridents," as support systems for the lobby and nine floors of the Twin Towers.Most of the tridents were still standing after the tragic attacks, and now one is visible to visitors outside the museum, which now stands at the former location of the steel company."Where those tridents are is where the glass windows were for the offices on the first floor," said Jim Zigler, executive director of the museum.

Bharat Biotech seeks market authorisation for their intranasal booster jab against Covid-19

NEW DELHI : Biotechnology company Bharat Biotech that launched India's first intranasal vaccine against Covid-19 has sought market authorisation approval from Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) for their intranasal heterologous booster, news agency ANI reported. The report also stated that Bharat Biotech has also sought DCGI nod for phase three study of Intranasal vaccine in the 5-18 age group. Recently, the Drugs Controller General of India(DCGI) on Tuesday has given emergency use authorization (EUA) to Bharat Biotech for the intranasal vaccine.

Final alarm: Philadelphia Fire Department sounds memorial bell for firefighters who died in 9/11

PHILADELPHIA - A solemn tradition holds an even deeper meaning today as the Philadelphia Fire Department rings the bell for those whose service ended after the terror attacks on September 11.Nineteen members of Philadelphia's heavy fire rescue were sent to New York City, offering assistance in the aftermath of 9/11.To honor the fallen firefighters, as well as citizens who died in the attacks, the Philadelphia Fire Department sounds a memorial bell.Three bells ring three times in a row to signify that a firefighter has ended their shift, and performed their last alarm.MORE HEADLINES:The ringing of the bell is part of a 9/11 memorial service at Betsy Ross' house that features guest speakers and a memorial to those who have fallen in the line of duty.
