WISSINOMING - Philadelphia police are investigating a drive-by shooting that killed a father and son in Wissinoming.Officials said police responded to calls for gunshots on the 2100 block of Carver Street Sunday night, just after 10:30.When police arrived, they found a 37-year-old man and a nine-year-old boy each shot multiple times while sitting in a vehicle.Philadelphia police investigate a drive-by shooting that killed a man and his nine-year-old son in Wissinoming.

The boy was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital where he died from his injuries. Alex Li said the service “continues to ensure that our workplaces remain safe, which includes continued COVID-19 measures as appropriate.”Li said the force’s decision to rescind its COVID-19 mandatory vaccination requirement was “made in response to the current public health and occupational health context of the pandemic and the unique nature of its work and workplaces.” More than 200 Toronto police members placed on unpaid leave as vaccine mandate takes effect  The force said 99 per cent of its members are fully vaccinated and new hires are “required to be fully vaccinated.”Li said members who are currently on unpaid absence will “return to duty on June 21, 2022.”“Officers will be deployed as operationally required by the Service and civilian members will return to their original roles,” the email reads.In November 2021, the force said 205 members, 117 uniform and 88 civilian, were placed on unpaid leave for either not being vaccinated, or not disclosing their vaccination status.According to Li, as of Wednesday, 101 people will be returning to duty.

Materials used to make homemade explosives found in the home of 82-year-old Francis Beck of Margate.  (Longport Police Department)MARGATE, N.J. - Police say one neighbor's 911 call led to an arrest and seizure of numerous weapons at a home in Margate.On May 16, a resident on 36th Avenue told police an 82-year-old neighbor was caught shooting holes in their fence on surveillance footage.Police say Francis Beck, 82, fired two rounds from a CO2 powered handgun.
