Blanca Arcelia Guerrero, the mom of 6, was crossing the intersection when she was struck by a Hacienda La Puente Unified school bus. The Medical Examiner's office ruled Guerrero's cause of death as blunt force trauma.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife on Friday shows a black bear pulling on a door handle and opening the door of a pickup truck.The video opened with the bear sniffing along the driver’s side of the silver truck parked on the side of the road. PHILADELPHIA - Homicide detectives in Philadelphia are investigating a shooting that left one man dead on Friday morning. According to authorities, the shooting erupted on the 800 block of Hutton Street in the city's Belmont section around 2:15 a.m. Chief Inspector Scott Small said police responded to the scene for reports of gunshots and found a 59-year-old man sitting in the driver's seat of a Chevy. Police say the man was unresponsive with gunshot wounds to his neck and chest. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESThe victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials say. According to investigators, the window of the vehicle was down when they arrived on scene. The victim lives several blocks away from the fatal shooting scene, police say. The investigation is active and ongoing.

The plaintiffs asked a judge to order Shell to bring the plant into compliance, and impose civil penalties of up to $140,000 per day.RELATED COVERAGEShell spokesperson Curtis Smith said the company had no comment on the suit.The plant has been shut down for repairs since early April after Shell said it identified a problem with its flaring system, which is designed to burn off unwanted gases.

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects wanted in connection with a shooting. According to police, the shooting occurred on the afternoon of April 23 on the 3800 block of North 13th Street in the Hunting Park section of the city. Authorities say two masked men armed with semi-automatic weapons pulled up on the two victims who were in a car on the street. Surveillance video released by police shows the moments the two suspects fired on the vehicle, drove to another street and continued firing in the direction of the victims. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAccording to officials, a 40-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were struck in the face and throughout their bodies, leaving them in critical condition. The suspects then fled the scene in a gray late model Toyota Camry, which has since been located by police, authorities say. Anyone with information on the shooting is urged to contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-8271 or submit an anonymous tip here. 

LAKELAND, Fla. - A Lakeland police officer is recovering in the hospital after he was shot by a 13-year-old suspect, who was also shot several times by another officer, authorities said. Officials with the Lakeland Police Department and Polk County Sheriff's Office swarmed Lincoln Avenue Wednesday afternoon, but investigators said it all started with a drive-by shooting at Simpson Park.Polk Sheriff Grady Judd and Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor said Officer Jamie Smith heard a shot fired at the park while he was investigating a separate call in the area at around 5:15 p.m. He was able to find and pursue the suspect's vehicle, a Dodge Avenger, and tried to stop it. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd and Lakeland Police Chief Sam Taylor provided an update on an officer-involved shooting that happened on Lincoln Avenue Wednesday afternoon.

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia police are investigating an arson at a Dunkin last month. According to officials, the incident took place on April 30 just before midnight at the Dunkin' on the 6600 block of Frankford Avenue in the Mayfair section of the city. Investigators released surveillance video showing the incident. Police say the suspect was seen with a plastic gas container that he never used and left at the location. Authorities say the suspect was also seen carrying a toaster that he placed in a trash can outside the store, which he then set on fire. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESAfter setting fire to two trash cans in front of the store, he went to the back and set fire to a storage container, according to police. Police warn the suspect should not be approached if identified. Anyone with information can contact Philadelphia police at 215-686-8477 or submit an anonymous tip here.

PHILADELPHIA - Two Philadelphia prisoners were able to leave their holding cells and walk through an unmanned housing unit before escaping to freedom through a hole in a perimeter fence, according to a new report obtained Tuesday by FOX 29.Ameen Hurst, 18, and Nasir Grant, 28, sprung themselves free from the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center around 8:30 Sunday night, investigators said. PHILADELPHIA - Police are investigating a fight that led to a double shooting in Philadelphia early Tuesday morning, police say. According to authorities, just after midnight, police responded to a call for a fight on Wagner Avenue in the Logan section of the city. Officials say while officers were en route to the scene, dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a shooting. Police say officers arrived on scene and found a 21-year-old woman with a graze wound to the head. MORE LOCAL HEADLINESTwo spent shell casings were also discovered on scene, per police. According to officials, as investigators were processing the scene, a second call came in for a 27-year-old woman who was grazed in the shoulder. Authorities have not said who the shooters were or if there is an ongoing search for suspects. This is a developing story.

NEWARK, Del. - The Delaware State Police are investigating a carjacking that they say took place in a gym parking lot in New Castle County Sunday afternoon. Just before 3 p.m., police say a 31-year-old woman was carjacked as she was parking her Dodge Durango in the Edge Fitness parking lot located at 2800 Fashion Center Boulevard in Newark. Authorities say as the victim exited her vehicle with her car keys in hand, an unknown suspect approached her and attempted to grab her keys. After a physical struggle, police say the suspect was able to gain control of the keys after shoving the victim to the ground. The first suspect then entered the driver's seat of the Durango before a second suspect entered the front passenger seat.

Dry Tortugas National Park. The archeological site was found near Garden Key in August 2022 and since then, members of the National Park Service’s Submerged Resources Center, the Southeast Archeological Center, and a University of Miami graduate student have been surveying the area which led to the identification of the site. "This intriguing find highlights the potential for untold stories in Dry Tortugas National Park, both above and below the water," said Josh Marano, a maritime archeologist for the south Florida national parks and a project director for the survey. Image showing archeologists over a grave discovered near Dry Tortugas National Park.
