Health Secretary Humza Yousaf has ruled out plans to further cut the self-isolation period for those with the virus in Scotland.
This comes as Tory minister Nadhim Zahawi backed a proposal to drop England's self isolation period from seven days to five.
However Yousaf said there was already enough risk in dropping the isolation period from ten days to seven north of the border without cutting it further.
He said: “The reason why we have made that decision – and it’s important to say that the UK nations all moved at a different pace on this – is that it’s not a risk-free option. “It’s not that there isn’t a risk attached with going from ten days to seven days, there is a risk.
