New coronavirus restrictions have come into effect as fears grow over the spread of the Omicron variant across the country.
From today, nightclubs will be closed and hospitality businesses will need to return to offering only table service if serving alcohol.
Bars, restaurants and indoor leisure facilities such as gyms, theatres and museums will also have to reinstate one-metre social distancing regulations.It comes after caps were placed on large events indoor and outdoor from Boxing Day.
