Large numbers of pensioners in Scotland are having to travel more than 50 miles to get their booster coronavirus vaccines. Hundreds of OAPs in their late seventies in living in East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Dunbartonshire have all been given appointments for their third jabs in Port Glasgow.
While many will be able to drive there a number face a four-hour round trip on public transport to receive their vital jab.Meanwhile, in the last 24-hour period in Scotland 26 covid deaths were recorded by the Scottish Government.The latest figures showed that 2,768 new cases had also been identified in that same time period.It brings the death toll since last March – of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days
