Covid-19 cases across India in the last fortnight, Maharashtra and Punjab continue to be the worst-hit states in term of fresh infections and death count.
The two states are reporting their highest-ever counts this month as the second wave of coronavirus rages across the country.They are followed by Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh and Gujarat in the top-five list, according to the Union health ministry.The growth rate of seven days for daily new cases till 23 March in Maharashtra was 3.6% and in Punjab it was 3.2%.Maharashtra has added 4,26,108 cases in the last two weeks as of 31 March, while Punjab has added 35,754 cases in the same period.Of all the fatalities during the two weeks period ending 31 March, Maharashtra and Punjab together reported.
