Motherwell have used the Scottish football lockdown to rush David Turnbull through more knee surgery.Fir Park chief executive Alan Burrows hopes that will allow their prized asset to be fit and ready for pre-season.Scotland Under-21 star Turnbull’s proposed £3.25m move to Celtic collapsed last summer when his medical detected a serious knee injury.After surgery he only returned to first-team action last month before the coronavirus pandemic froze all football.Burrows said: “David had two steel pins inserted when he had knee surgery last year.
It was always going to require a minor operation to take them out.“With no games scheduled for the foreseeable future, he’s gone under the knife now.
